My Thoughts
So far, I think these last episodes have been the strongest. I especially loved the way the competition arc came to a close, particularly the emotional resonance in the scene with Wenli’s tearful bite at the end. It truly captured the heart of the drama. Ji-young is and remains my favorite character. I admire the way she blends warmth with courage, never backing down even in the face of abrasive accusations labeling her as the poisoner.
What I didn’t love? Consort Kang’s endless scheming can sometimes become repetitive, even though her merciless nature expands the drama’s tension. Jesan’s reveal sent a chill down my spine, and I can’t wait to see how far his villainy expands as the storyline continues. And that kiss? It feels absolutely like the calm before the storm. I predict that the upcoming last 2 episodes will be thrilling.
